Registration for Library programs requires a current library card from Skokie Public Library or a registered card from your "home" library. After you enter your card number and your last name to "log in" to the online calendar, your full name, phone number, and email address will automatically appear in the sign-up form as it currently appears in your Library account. You will be able to verify the information without having to type it every time you sign up for a program. This will improve accuracy and speed the registration process. If you call to register for a program, please have your Library card number ready for a staff member to enter for you.

 Digital technology is everywhere, rapidly changing the way our children access media and entertain themselves. It’s our job as teachers and parents to help children become critical consumers of media. How do we talk to kids in elementary school about the movies and television they watch and the music they hear? How do we help them develop the skills necessary to evaluate the quality of their media experiences? Professor Devorah Heitner, founder of Raising Digital Natives, will help answer some of these questions during a free workshop for teachers and parents with children in grades 2 – 5. Registration begins February 1.
