Registration for Library programs requires a current library card from Skokie Public Library or a registered card from your "home" library. After you enter your card number and your last name to "log in" to the online calendar, your full name, phone number, and email address will automatically appear in the sign-up form as it currently appears in your Library account. You will be able to verify the information without having to type it every time you sign up for a program. This will improve accuracy and speed the registration process. If you call to register for a program, please have your Library card number ready for a staff member to enter for you.

  • After the registration deadline, available spaces will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

 Join a reference librarian as he demonstrates how you can learn to find information that "you can't Google!" This might include learning a language online, getting a diagram to help you repair your car, finding a recipe that was in the Chicago Tribune years ago, reading today’s newspaper headlines from papers from around the country or the world, taking practice exams, uncovering copies of original documents to fill in your family tree, getting lists of foreclosed properties, obtaining a sample business plan, and even more! Class is lecture-based.
