|The Ups and Downs of Dining a la Downton|
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Radmacher Meeting Room
Edwardian traditions are fascinating to the modern sensibility and palate. A six-course meal was considered “light” and the head cook would sooner serve Crępe Suzette to the Lordship’s dog than allow a cheeky housemaid to have it. Even if you do not watch Downton Abbey, you will enjoy this performance and cooking presentation by Ellie Carlson, in character, on the ups and downs of being a cook’s assistant in an early-twentieth century English Manor home. Samples will be served.
Registration is required. Limit 50 participants.
