Description:
 Karisa Chiu is a freshman at William Fremd High School in Palatine. She studies violin with Almita Vamos and is a merit scholarship student in the Academy Program of the Music Institute of Chicago. Karisa won the Open Junior String Division of the Walgreens National Concerto Competition in 2012 and honorable mention with distinction in the 2013 DePaul Concerto Competition. Karisa is a member of a string trio that competed in the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition in 2013 and plays piano. She also enjoys playing soccer and reading.

Whitney Jin is a freshman at Waubonsie Valley High School in Naperville. She has studied and performed piano for nine years, for six years under the guidance of Brenda Huang. Her many awards include first place in the 2011 Music Festival in Honor of Confucius (Junior Division) and second place in the 2012 Society of American Musicians Piano Competition (Junior Division). Outside of piano, she enjoys playing cello, reading, and hanging out with her friends.
