Images of Lincoln changed during the course of his political career. He continued to be a popular source for artwork and material culture after his assassination. This program examines paintings, photographs, sculptures and material culture relating to Lincoln and their historical context.

Mishur is an owner of Art Excursions, a business that provides lectures on cultural topics as well as boutique tours of important art cities such as Boston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. Mishur is a member of the Illinois Humanities Councils "Road Scholars" speakers bureau and has taught at the university level for 16 years.
