Says Who? Evaluating Sources in the News

3/25/2017
1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
Radmacher Meeting Room

The Oxford Dictionaries named "post-truth" as the international Word of the Year 2016. "Post-truth" refers to blatant lies becoming so routinely spread that it becomes increasingly difficult to settle on what the truth really is. As part of its news literacy curriculum, Stony Brook University of New York's Michael Spikes offers tools to help you judge the reliability and credibility of sources in the news. You can become a smarter, more discerning consumer of news and information.
