Chiron, a troubled young boy growing up in Miami, finds solace in his friendship with Juan (Mahershala Ali), a neighborhood drug dealer. The lessons Juan teaches Chiron leave a deep impression as he deals with bullying as a teen, and life on the margins as an adult. Also starring Naomie Harrie, Janelle Monae, and Alex Hibbert, Ashton Sanders, and Trevante Rhodes as Chiron in various stages of his life. Based on Tarell Alvin McCraney's play "In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue," and nominated for eight 2016 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.
