Event Registration

Online registration for Library programs requires a current library card from Skokie Public Library or a registered card from your home suburban library. If you do not have a card or if you live in Chicago, call 847-673-7774 to sign up by phone.

After the registration deadline, available spaces will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Please call for space availability and registration.

Take a Stand Against Racism

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Central Lobby

Show the world that Skokie is helping to eliminate racism. Sign up to help line Oakton Street to help demonstrate that racism can no longer be ignored or tolerated. Make a sign if you'd like to, and be heard. Afterward, discuss the negative impacts of institutional and structural racism in our communities. This is part of the national Stand Against Racism, a movement of the YWCA. The Civic Lab will also appear at this time, asking the question: what does it mean to stand against racism?
