Ann Martin is the popular author of The Baby Sitters Club, a series that was published from 1986 to 2000 and was very popular with young girls. Annís prequel to the series, The Baby-sitters Club: The Summer Before, will be published in April. In addition to this series, she has written many highly regarded books and was awarded a Newbery Honor in 2003 for A Corner of the Universe. Her book The Doll People, which she co-authored with Laura Godwin, was voted the favorite book of Skokie students during Voice of Youth Award elections this past April.Library: Skokie Public Library
Please join us for this special evening and hear about the writing career and the wonderful books that Ann Martin has written for young people. Martin's books will be available for purchase and autographing after the presentation
